For the art of music in the world

The Signatur programme is currently active in the United Kingdom and Sweden. The programme was set up by The Karlsson Játiva Charitable Foundation which operates the programme directly in the United Kingdom and is the founder of and provides funding for Signatur Foundation Sweden. The purpose is to promote the art of music in the world.

The Karlsson Játiva Charitable Foundation

The Karlsson Játiva Charitable Foundation was set up in 2016 and is a registered charity in England and Wales. It is a philanthropic institution which was established with two main objectives in mind:

  • (a) the advancement of the art of music and the education of the public in the same in the United Kingdom, Sweden and other countries across Europe; and
  • (b) the relief of poverty, distress and hardship and the promotion of education, health and welfare or any other exclusively charitable object in Latin America.

Its philosophy is to fund partners who have the potential to deliver structural change over the long term improving the opportunities for those who otherwise might not be able to fulfil their potential. With respect to its music objective, in addition to the funding it provides to Signatur Foundation Sweden, it also provides funding directly to various organisations in the United Kingdom under the Signatur umbrella. With respect to its second objective, it operates the LACT programme supporting a wide range of partners in the Andean countries of Latin America.
